About Me

Ari Rossen is a New York-based actor, writer and filmmaker, dedicated to telling stories that reflect people from all walks of life. Ari’s debut indie film, SOUND/VISION, recently won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at East Lansing Film Festival. It has also screened at several U.S. and international festivals, including ITVFest; San Jose International Short Film Festival (U.S Premiere); SOHO International Film Festival (NY Premiere); Thessaloniki LGBTQ Film Festival (European Premiere); and LA CineFest.

As an actor, Ari’s television and film credits include principal roles in several CollegeHumor viral videos, guest stars on the hit webseries MISSED CONNECTIONS LIVE (Best Comedy Series: LA WebFest & StayTunedTV) and recurring on the classic soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE (ABC). Ari has also appeared in a variety of national and international commercial/print campaigns for major companies including Pfizer, Chevron and Prudential.

Ari is set to release a micro-short directed by Jeremiah Kipp called DISCOVER THE WONDER, which he wrote and co-produced with Natasha Straley (SOUND/VISION). He is also currently developing a number of new projects, including F.A.G.S., a web dramedy about the LGBTQ community in modern New York; and BEHIND THE CEREAL, a series of web shorts inspired by VH1’s BEHIND THE MUSIC television show. Rossen graduated with honors from Northwestern University’s Communications Program, with a B.S. in Theatre and Musical Theatre Concentration. When he’s not creating, Ari can be found tickling ivories wherever there is a nearby piano, wrangling his rescue feline Batman, and shaking his money-maker on pretty much any dance floor (his mother would be proud). Ari currently lives, works and hustles in Hell’s Kitchen, a vibrant NYC neighborhood with a storied past and an ever-changing future.
